Deep TMS Neuromodulation
A non-invasive, safe and scientifically supported treatment
A non-invasive, safe and scientifically supported treatment
Care about-U is among the first clinics in the Canary Islands — and in Spain — to offer this new generation of deep magnetic neurostimulation.
Outpatient sessions of 15 to 20 minutes. No hospital stay, no sedation and no recovery time: you arrive, you are treated, and you carry on with your day as normal.
Technology approved by the FDA (United States) and CE-marked in Europe for the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and smoking cessation, among other indications.
A multidisciplinary team assesses, designs and supervises every treatment protocol on an individual basis, with continuous follow-up at every stage.
Deep TMS (Deep Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique that uses pulsed magnetic fields to stimulate — safely and painlessly — the areas of the brain involved in conditions such as depression, OCD and nicotine addiction.
Unlike conventional TMS, Brainsway technology uses patented H-Coils built into a helmet-shaped applicator, capable of reaching deeper and broader brain structures — several centimetres below the cortex — which makes it possible to modulate entire neural circuits rather than isolated points on the surface of the brain.
At Care about-U we have taken a pioneering step in bringing this technology to the Canary Islands, placing us among the first clinics in Spain to offer it. It is an outpatient treatment, with no added medication, no anaesthetic and no hospital stay, designed for those looking for an effective option backed by scientific evidence — whether as a first choice or alongside other therapeutic approaches.
The programme is always delivered under multidisciplinary coordination: psychiatry, psychology and the Care about-U clinical team work together to adapt every protocol — coil, intensity, frequency and number of sessions — to each patient’s real situation.
Services designed around you
Initial clinical evaluation — psychiatric and psychological — complete medical history and review of possible contraindications (metal implants, history of epilepsy and so on) to confirm that the treatment is suitable.
Definition of the specific protocol according to diagnosis: selection of the appropriate coil (depression, OCD, smoking), stimulation parameters and planning of the number of sessions.
Delivery of the neurostimulation sessions under the supervision of specialist clinical staff, following international protocols approved by the FDA and CE-marked.
Progress is followed using validated clinical scales, with treatment parameters adjusted gradually according to each patient's response.
Continuous coordination with psychiatry, psychology and the clinic's other complementary therapies, so that Deep TMS forms part of a coherent overall treatment plan.
Assessment of results over the medium and long term, with maintenance sessions where clinically necessary, aimed at consolidating improvement and preventing relapse.
It is a non-invasive neuromodulation technique that uses magnetic fields to safely stimulate the areas of the brain linked to depression, OCD and nicotine addiction. Brainsway technology, through its H-Coils, reaches deeper brain structures than conventional TMS.
Yes, it is a non-invasive procedure with no anaesthetic and no sedation. It is not painful; some patients notice slight discomfort on the scalp or mild facial tingling during the session, which disappears once the session ends.
Each session lasts around 15 to 20 minutes. The total number of sessions is decided individually, based on the diagnosis and each patient’s clinical progress.
Its main indications, approved by the FDA and CE-marked, are depression (including depression with associated anxiety), obsessive-compulsive disorder and smoking cessation. There is also growing evidence in other areas, which our team can assess on an individual basis.
In general, Deep TMS can be used alongside drug treatment. Our clinical team will assess your particular case during the initial evaluation, in order to design the most appropriate approach.
This varies from person to person and by condition, but many patients begin to notice improvement during the first few weeks of treatment. The team follows your progress continuously.
Care about-U is one of the first clinics in the Canary Islands — and one of very few in Spain — to bring in Brainsway Deep TMS technology, giving our patients access to innovation in neuromodulation with the strongest scientific and clinical backing.
